Pricing
Self-hosting is free. That is not the trial — that is the product.
Wraft is AGPLv3, so you can run the whole platform on your own infrastructure forever without paying us anything. What we sell is our time: hosting it for you, and standing behind it when something breaks.
Self-hosted
The entire platform, under AGPLv3, running on your infrastructure. This is the product — not a limited edition of it.
- Every feature. No paid tier above it
- Unlimited users, documents and templates
- Your database, your object storage, your keys
- Community support on GitHub and Discord
- Air-gapped deployment supported
No account, no licence key, no sales call.
Managed
RecommendedWe run it for you on infrastructure we operate, with support. Same code, same schema — moving to self-hosted later is a migration, not a rewrite.
- Everything in self-hosted, hosted by us
- Upgrades, backups and monitoring handled
- Email support with a response commitment
- Onboarding help for your first templates
- Export to self-hosted whenever you want
Pricing scales with volume, not per seat. Ask for a quote.
Enterprise
Support agreements, deployment work, air-gapped installations, and engineering time against your roadmap rather than ours.
- SLA-backed support with named contacts
- Deployment and migration engineering
- Air-gapped and sovereign installations
- Security review and questionnaire support
- Priority on features you need built
Self-hosting stays free even if you buy nothing.
What we will never charge for
No tier unlocks a feature
Plenty of products call themselves open source and then place the parts you need behind a licence key. Here is the specific commitment, so you can hold us to it.
Every feature
Authoring, generation, approval flows, archive, API, webhooks, SSO. There is no feature you unlock by paying. If it exists, it is in the AGPLv3 core.
Unlimited everything
Users, documents, templates, builds, storage. We do not meter your usage because on your infrastructure we cannot see it, and would not want to.
The source
Complete and public. Not a stripped 'community edition' with the interesting parts held back in a private repository.
Your exit
Your database and files are already yours. Nothing to export, and no plan tier that unlocks the ability to leave.
So what are you paying for
Time, commitment, and expertise
All three are things you could supply yourself. Paying us is a decision about where your team's attention is best spent, not about unlocking software.
Somebody else's time
Running infrastructure, applying upgrades, watching backups, and being on the other end of an email when something breaks at an inconvenient hour.
A commitment, in writing
Community support is generous but has no obligation behind it. A support agreement is a response time you can point at during an incident.
Expertise you would otherwise build
Deployment design, migration from an incumbent, template architecture. Work you could do yourself — the question is whether you want to.
How the cost behaves
What happens to the bill as you grow
The interesting difference is not the sticker price, it is the shape of the curve — and which variables you control.
Describes the common commercial model of hosted document products. Individual vendors differ, and some offer volume or non-profit terms — check what you are comparing against.
Worth knowing before you buy
Wraft is in active development. The platform is in use and every feature listed here exists, but it is young and we would rather you knew that before signing anything. If a date or a specific capability matters to you, tell us your timeline and we will say plainly whether to adopt now, wait, or use something else — losing a deal costs us less than a customer who committed on a promise we did not keep.
Not sure which
A rule of thumb
You have a platform team
Self-host. You already run Postgres and object storage; Wraft is another service in the cluster and you will not miss us.
You would rather not
Managed. The infrastructure question disappears and the exit stays open, which is the part that usually matters.
Procurement is involved
Enterprise. You need an agreement, an SLA, and someone who will complete a security questionnaire properly.
